After nearly fifteen years in holistic therapy, Laura made the decision to begin training in life coaching to add to and develop her skill set. Reiki is a safe and natural holistic practice for healing the body, mind and spirit. The word Reiki (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’. The syllable ‘rei’ describes the universal, limitless aspect of this energy while ‘ki’ is the actual vital life force energy which naturally flows through all living things. The Reiki tradition was founded by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication to helping others. Reiki is a gentle hands on or off healing technique which requires no tools, medicine or equipment. Reiki therapy simply works by transferring energy from the practitioner and directing it towards the patient in order to create balance and promote the body’s own natural ability to heal.
Reiki Training Courses based in Hamilton South Lanarkshire are available on certain Sunday’s of every month or upon request. Conveniently situated in an ideal location close to West Hamilton train station these monthly workshops are available for anybody with a special interest in healing. Ideal for therapists wishing to expand their skills and make their treatments more bespoke or simply for individuals looking to find new ways in which to create balance in their life. Student numbers are always kept small to allow for a more personal spiritual journey, therefore spaces can be limited.
Before each therapy begins a full consultation will be carried out to determine client concerns and expectations. This procedure enables Laura to tailor make the treatment to suit each individual needs. After treatment it is possible you may feel light headed, tired or more emotional than usual as your body rids itself of toxins and waste. To get the maximum results from your treatment Laura highly recommends that you drink plenty of water, avoid intensive exercise, avoid caffeine and alcohol and try to relax for the rest of the day/evening.
